Super cheap food and drinks! $3 sleeves of beer and every night there's a different meal special for $5! Great for students if you want a cheap night out. The food I've had there has been great. Only problem is they always seem to be short-staffed so the service is a bit on the slow side--but you're there to relax and have a good time anyway, so it doesn't matter, really. They also have sports nights, which I don't really care about but I know some people like, and live music on weekends. Awesome spot!

Food is good a little slow on the service in an empty place during the middle of the afternoon

The food was really good, and so was the service. I had the portobello burger with fries and they have a good beer selection. It’s a bit bright and doesn’t feel much like a pub. I know we’re in shoulder season as it’s April but the heat really needed to be on. It was way too cold inside to get comfortable. Everyone was wearing their jackets. It’s got potentional but I do think adding some darker paint around the space, and turning up the heat would give more of a more cozy pub vibe.

-Food is flavourless and looks/tastes worse than something you could make at home-service is slow and disorganized - took at least 20 mins to be approached by a server, our wine took an hour to come out (are they stomping on the grapes in the back??), and they didn’t bring us any waterI really wanted to have a good experience here and was excited about their re-opening which is why I’ve gone back, but all 3 experiences were bad. Hope they can work out the kinks and thrive. I love a good neighbourhood pub, but they’ve missed the mark here.

The Pork Belly Benedict is what will bring me back to this place the next time I'm in Vancouver, for sure! Great atmosphere and local menu. Sweet little spot walking distance to the beach...what more can you ask for?!

Our server was excellent, the patio seating was great however most of the nice-looking dishes were lacking in flavour even though they sounded great on paper...hoping the taste of the dishes improves.

Great little pub!

Hit and miss. Good selection of beers. Great location. Serving staff are always friendly. What lets it down is the food quality. It's hit and miss. Can come out cold and unappealing or can come out very niceI had the fish tacos and there was no fishThey need to sort out the kitchen or this place won't last. Shame ' cos I want the place to succeed

I went there 2 times, first was amazing, seriously... the server and the food make me come back on the next day... but second visit was totally different experience, I order the same plate, it came different from the previous day (different plate, different size, different ingredients OMG), the server seems lost and have no knowledge about the menu... they took the plate back to the kitchen and guess what, bring us the SAME plate, jist add more cheese, we are 5 in the table, 2 plates are wrong, back to the kitchenand came after everybodyfl finished... in the end was a "sorry" for the mistakes, the send me a brownie and thats all. Plus, the server said the food may vary according to the cook. I guess we have to check the schedule before we go. You guys have a good place, but need Improvement.

Nice and bright, great food, really good service, great entertainment. I saw a young family there with 2 small boys playing Battleship. Also, I hear they are starting up Open Mic nights on Wednesdays!! Can't wait to see and hear the talent!!

New management and they have revitalized the place. Inside much brighter and cleaner and the food is also much tastier. Doesn't feel like you are eating greasy bar food any more. Good range of beers with all decent price points. Only down is they took away their board games section

Whoever remodeled this pub should be arrested, to paint all those ancient beams and trusses is a crime, the kings head use to be so cozy.

Nice place, nice service, decent food and beer and you can watch sports and they have live music.

Can't comment on the food, only came here for beer.The server was a bit of a mess, didn't know the rotating tap and mixed up beer orders for the table.

If it wasn't for its location this place would be out of business. Food is very underwhelming

Have been here a few times for drinks and burgers. The owner and all the staff are very friendly and helpful. The food has always been great. Would definitely recommend this place!

Used to be pretty good as the kitchen table, was terrible just before it closed and reopened as the kings head. Now it still seems to be struggling. The new interior is alot better but the food seems alot worse. Food is cheap and tastes it. Beer choice is decent when you can get served. We wanted to give it a chance after the terrible closing down. We did. I dont think we will go back for a while

If you want great quality food that is for cheap and also have a good time, then keep on reading. The service was outstanding everyone was friendly and the service was really quick. IT WAS AWESOME! I would totally go back again

miss the old English pub vibe. now it feels like a lobotomy to an old classic.

We got notified of a half hour wait for our food after 15 mins of sitting down. Ridiculous! She asked the manager if I can get my virgin Caesar for free and she said management can give us free shots. I don't want free shots. Poor managed restaurant and the server needs more training in providing better customer service.

New Zealand bartender proper rude

If you are impressed by $3 shots and $12 pitchers then don't read more. Kings head is the place to be with close buddies. Watch some game or a fight have a very good time and most of all not worry about the bill. Personally haven't tried all the menu but chicken wings and potato wedges are good.

We had a wonderful lady who seated our big party! she even mentioned to the live music guy that it was my friends birthday which was so great! she was attentive and everything went smoothly though it was a lot of people :) would come here again if I was in the area

Been here a few times for pints. Reliable for a quick service. First time I had food and the best Butter Chicken I've had. Picture doesn't do it justice. Solid performance.

Friendly and great service

Come here regularly for beers and small bites. Everything has always been great, can't complain. They have a really lovely terrace too.

Called to place an order today and the individual who answered the call was incredibly rude to my partner over the phone and made her very upset. Upon picking up the order however that individual was very kind, and nice. Not sure if it was the same person or not but in a time of suffering small business, being rude over the phone to guests is not the way to get return customers.

The chicken skewers used to be excellent but today the chicken stuck to the skewer and could not be removed. Either overdown or old chicken. The roasted cauliflower had a heel of the cauliflower that took up 1/4 of the meal. It is something everyone throws in the garbage but it was thrown into my appetizer. I asked to only pay for one of the the appetizers that were so far below par as the quality was mostly definitely not like it was the last 5 weeks that I have been coming here. I was told sorry you have to pay for what you ordered even if it wasn't up to par. Not good customer service at all.

I read a hateful review from this place towards one of my favorite local bars. Slagging the competition like that only makes you look bad and for that reason i will never visit and will never reccomend anyone visit kings head pub.

I came here a few years ago and had a great burger and fries. Service and food checked all the boxes. This time however was a disappointment. The Hollandaise sauce on my Benny was separated and just not right then my friends omlette looked more like some kind of burnt scramble. They said something about a piece of cooking equipment not working properly. I can make a pretty good omlette my self in a frying pan! Definitely wont be back for breakfast/brunch. To top it all off it took forever so we just ate. I felt bad for my friend as his was worse than mine.

Amazing, hand selected beers at insanely competitive prices. Owner is the most amazing guy. Crazy good food. Just a really nice place to hang out and kick back. If I lived here, I'd be a regular.

Good place for a beer, patio is pretty nice too. This is very close to my apartment and so I am here often in the summer. Food is not great.
